If you're tired of feeling like you aren't quite good enough, you probably need help for low self esteem. Maybe you're afraid of setting goals because you feel you can't achieve them, or maybe you feel you are less than everyone else. But no matter how you feel, there is help for low self esteem. Use these tips to start feeling better about yourself right away.
Don't compare yourself to other people. When people with low self esteem compare themselves to others, they usually do so negatively. You look at someone else, think they are better than you, and feel even worse about yourself. It's a no win situation. Instead, make a list of your good qualities and keep it where you can see it. Whenever you start feeling bad about yourself, look at your list and remind yourself how wonderful and unique you are.
Stop putting yourself down. Would you tell a friend how awful she is, or that she isn't good at anything? Probably not, because you wouldn't have a friend for very long. So why would you talk to yourself that way? You need to treat yourself with the same respect you treat others. Start talking to yourself with respect, even if you don't feel it, and pretty soon you will believe it.
